We at the SuperStar Project and SuperStar Promotions have created this security policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to protecting you and your
children's personal information and informing you about how we handle it.
Our security policy applies to all communications, postings, transactions, and data gathered, on the web sites copyrighted by SuperStar Promotions (our "sites"). This security policy does
not apply to any web sites other than ours, or off-line points of contact between us and the audiences we serve.
If, at any time, you discover that any of our security policies are being violated, please let us know immediately so that we may take swift and appropriate action.
An Overview Of Our Privacy Policies
1. Each time you visit any of our web sites, or provide us with information, then you are agree to accept the practices described in this security policy at the time of your
visit or submission.
2. SuperStar Promotions LLC cares about your privacy and dislikes “spam” as much as you do. We do not collect any personal information about
you while visiting our web sites unless you specifically input the information into our forms and submit the form to us.
3. We do record statistical information for the purpose of improving our web sites and cookies may be used for monitoring our success; however this information never contains
any personally identifiable information about you.
4. When our forms ask you to provide us with contact information and when you e-mail us, your contact information is used only to meet your requests or respond, if necessary,
to your request. Your individual iinformation is never released outside of our organization and is never given or sold to third parties for any purpose.
5. Subscriptions and e-mail responses: Our managed e-mail services are NOT spam or junk mail; they are opt-in subscription sevices. If spam is your business - don't even ask!
6. External Links: SuperStar Promotions has no control over, and is therefore not responsible for, the privacy practices or content of external web sites linked on our sites. Where we have
provided links to web sites outside our domains, we do so as a courtesy and can not control, nor are responsible, for their content. They had been researched and approved prior
to placement on our site(s) and we periodically review these sites while providing these links. If, however, you consider the content provided by any of these links to be objectionable
- please let us know immediately so that we can review it and take appropriate action.
In addition, the additional protection measures have been taken with all external links featured on the SuperStar Students web site:
6.1) Immediately following the click of an external link, the user receives a pop-up notification that they are about to leave the SuperStar
web site.
6.2) The visitor is reminded to practice safe web surfing.
6.3) Then given the option to continue or cancel (remain within the SuperStar Students web site).
6.4) Visitors are also reminded to not download any software without the permission of a trusted adult.
Protections Specifically For Children
No web site created and maintained by SuperStar Promotions will ever:
Collect online contact information from a child under 13 without prior verifiable parental consent
or direct parental notification of the nature and intended use of this information, which shall include
an opportunity for the parent to prevent use of the information and participation in related activities.
Where prior parental consent is not obtained, online contact information shall only be used to directly
respond to the child's request and shall not be used to re-contact the child for any other purposes.
Collect personally identifiable off-line contact information from children under 13 without prior
verifiable parental consent.
Distribute to third parties any personally identifiable Information collected from a child under 13
without prior verifiable parental consent.
Give the ability to children under 13 to publicly post or otherwise distribute personally identifiable
contact information without prior verifiable parental consent. We will also make best efforts to prohibit
a child from posting any contact information on the sites within our control.
Entice a child under 13 by the prospect of a special game, prize or other activity, to divulge more
information than is needed to participate in such activity.
Publishing Guidelines
An important component of the SuperStar Project is the recognition given to the SuperStars
that participate (e.g. Students, Teachers, Parents, Schools, Partners).
We will regularly publish SuperStar related materials, such as photo's, movies, quotes, testimonials,
etc., on our web sites and in public outlets such as newspapers, magazines, and television.
We will only publish, or authorize to publish, content that projects the subjects and the SuperStar Project in the best light.
Our Handling of Submitted Materials:
Content submitted to the SuperStar Project or SuperStar Promotions will
always be reviewed against socially accepted norms for decency and cleanliness. Materials not meeting
these criteria will be immediately destroyed.
Adults - defined as Teachers, Parents/Guardians, School Administrators, and our Community Partners.
Materials submitted by any of these parties will only be accepted if they are, have been, or will be members
of the SuperStar Project.
Children - defined as anyone under the age of 18 years. Content knowingly submitted by a child will
not be published unless accompanied by the express written or electronic permission of that child's parent
or guardian. Content that features a single child must also be accompanied by the express written or electronic
permission of that child's parent or guardian. Content featuring two or more children will be considered
“Public Domain” - please see below.
Public Domain - SuperStar related content that is submitted featuring children and/or adults
in a public setting within their participating school (e.g. school yard, classroom, cafeteria, school
rally / activity / event, etc.) will be received with the expectation that it meets or exceeds that individual
school's own privacy policies and is therefore approved for publication by the SuperStar Project
and SuperStar Promotions.
Withdrawal - If a parent or guardian chooses to withdraw their authorization to publish content featuring
their child, the SuperStar staff and SuperStar Promotions will make every reasonable effort to swiftly remove
that content from the public domain. However, the parent or guardian must recognize that despite all our
“best efforts”, content featuring their child may never be completely removed from the public
domain once it has first been published.
All parties submitting content to the SuperStar Project or SuperStar Promotions, agree to have no expectation
of remuneration for any submitted or published materials.
Your IP Address
Like most web sites, each time you visit our sites, we may collect your IP address and the web page from which you came.
This does not contain any personal information about you.
In order to administer and optimize our sites and to diagnose problems with our site(s), we mayy use your IP address to help identify broad demographic information and navigation
patterns.
This information will never be used to contact you, nor will it be sold to outside parties.
We may use IP addresses to identify persons that violate our policies and we reserve all rights to subsequently ban them from any or all of our web sites - at our sole descretion.
